Research Uptake Through Presidential Economic Council Papers

The Network for Education and Multidisciplinary Research Africa (NEMRA) invites research students, academics, and practitioners to a seminar about writing Presidential Economic Council (PEC) papers to communicate their research evidenced ideas for economic growth.
The PEC is headed by the President of Uganda and consists of top Government technocrats, Government Ministers and is responsible for economic policy and private sector representatives.
The council regularly meets to consider papers by the Ministries and Government departments on various issues relating to national economic development. Dr. Hamis Mugendawala of the National Planning Authority will engage participants in the seminar about the process of writing papers for discussion by the PEC and how researchers can use their research products as an opportunity to contribute to the discussion.
The seminar will take place on Saturday 24/08/24 10:00am-12:00noon EAT via zoom.
