Inter-University Research and Innovation Community for Early Career Researchers in Uganda (IRIC-ECRU) Project

The inter-University Research and Innovation Community for the Early Career Researchers in Uganda (IRIC-ECRU) is an interdisciplinary research community of PhD students and early career researchers in Uganda. Run as a 5-year project, it’s aim is to enhance 1) researcher capacity building, 2) R&I and data sharing 3) technology enabled research outputs dissemination, and 4) engagement and impact. IRIC-ECRU focuses on 4 core areas that guide the project objectives 1) Research capacity building and mentorship, 2) Data infrastructure development and management 3) Research ideas generation and execution, 4) Research output dissemination

Makerere University Research and Innovations Fund (Mak-Rif)

With funding from the Government of the Republic of Uganda to Makerere University, this higher institution of learning will support high-impact Research and Innovations to drive Uganda’s Development Agenda. This unique initiative is being implemented under the Research and Innovations Fund (RIF) at Makerere University in Kampala Uganda. It arose after engagements between the top University Management and the Government of Uganda.
