NEMRA Appoints a Secretary and an Executive Committee of Directors

NEMRA has appointed a secretary and a four-member Executive Committee of Directors to run the network’s core activities:

  1. Research capacity building,
  2. Research & research publications,
  3. Stakeholder engagement and
  4. Resources & events management.

The committee members are seasoned scholars involved in teaching, research and consultancy at five different institutions in Uganda.

 

Robert Kakuru is NEMRA’s Secretary.

Robert is affiliated to the Department of Sociology at the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Makerere University.

Sheba Asiimwe Bezibwe is NEMRA’s Director Research training and mentorship. She is in charge of research capacity building and coordination of the network’s E-CARS mentorship programme.

Sheba is affiliated to the Faculty of Business Administration at Ndejje University and ALCOM Perfection Training and Consulting firm.

Dickson Tumuramye is NEMRA’s Director Research Projects and Publications. He is in charge of initiation of research projects, response to funding calls, and coordinates teams to carry out and publish the network’s research.

Dickson is affiliated to Uganda Christian University, Mukono in the School of Research and Post Graduate Studies.

Mr. Patrick K. Mutabwire is NEMRA’s Director Mobilisation and Advocacy. He engages appropriate stakeholders within academic and non-academic institutions for involvement and uptake of the network’s research outputs

Patrick is affiliated to Uganda’s Ministry of Local Government.

Anita Ashaba is NEMRA’s Director of Resources and Events. She serves the network in identifying resource needs, securing such resources and putting them to efficient use. She is also in charge of organising and scheduling the network’s events.

Anita is affiliated to Uganda Technology and Management University in the department of communication and Marketing
